Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Chicken farming. Layer poultry farming. Livestock combination farming. Poultry and egg production. Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Handling animals. Monitoring animal health. Perform livestock feeding. Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain quality control and production records. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Perform general farm duties. Field work location experience: Ontario and/or Quebec. Equipment and machinery experience: Automated manure handling or storage system. Egg gathering system. Hand tools. Automated systems experience: Bulk grain or feed handling - automated. Automated environmental control equipment. Manure handling and storage. Area of specialization: Agricultural livestock service. Poultry. Animal husbandry. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Handling heavy loads. Hand-eye co-ordination. Overtime required. Ability to distinguish between colours. Sound discrimination. Sitting.
