*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable CSO to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees and visitors within our clients sites. This position involves developing, implementing, and monitoring safety protocols to create a safe working environment. The CSO will also be responsible for conducting safety audits, training staff on safety practices, and ensuring compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations. *Duties* * Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures. * Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards. * Provide training sessions for employees on safety practices and emergency procedures. * Monitor compliance with safety regulations and report any violations. * Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions. * Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions. * Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the organization. * Utilize construction management software to track safety metrics and improvements. *Requirements* * Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role in a construction or industrial environment. * Strong knowledge of local, provincial, and federal safety regulations. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. * Ability to conduct training sessions effectively. * Proficient in using construction management software for tracking safety data. * Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. * Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is preferred but not mandatory. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Must have CSO designation.
