We're a small company located in Muskoka Lakes Township providing gardening services for 32 years. Our mission is to provide great customer care with attention to detail in all spaces. We are interested in hiring a Gardener who will be able to provide professional services. The Gardener will be responsible for performing ongoing landscaping tasks, as well as routine maintenance of all landscaping equipment. We have several gardens at various properties across Muskoka that require regular maintenance. If you have experience in gardening and a strong attention to detail, you may be the perfect fit for this job. Tasks: · Cut lawns, prune the shrubs and trees, edge the walkways and give the grounds a manicured look · Planting of annuals (flowers), perennials and shrubs · Take on special gardening or planting projects as deemed necessary by the property owner · Collaborate with maintenance team to make sure the grounds and the building are always properly cared for · Perform regular maintenance on small equipment Skills and Requirements: Include the necessary experience, requirements, and skills for this position. · High school diploma/GED required · Experience would be an asset but not necessary · A certification in a horticulture or landscaping would be preferred · Must be a reliable worker who is able to perform routine tasks without supervision · Strong attention to detail required Work Schedule: Full time, Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm April-November Salary: $19.00-$20.00/hour 40 hours per week -- COVID-19 considerations: Sanitizing work truck daily as well as all tools. Maintaining distance between fellow employees and clients *COVID-19 precautions* · Personal protective equipment provided or required · Social distancing guidelines in place · Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place. Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal Contract length: 7 months Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Additional pay: * Tips Benefits: * Casual dress * Flexible schedule * On-site parking Flexible language requirement: * English not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday * No weekends Application question(s): * For this job you must have accommodations in or around the Port Carling area.
