We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at River East Pharmacy. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy. *Responsibilities:* * Provide exceptional customer service to patients and customers by greeting them, answering inquiries, and assisting with their medication needs. * Assist pharmacists in accurately dispensing medications, ensuring the correct dosage, and labeling prescriptions appropriately. * Receive, unpack, and stock incoming medications and supplies. Maintain inventory levels and track expiration dates to ensure product freshness and compliance. * Organize and maintain prescription records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in accordance with legal requirements. * Process and manage insurance claims and coordinate with third-party payers to ensure timely billing and reimbursement. * Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and disposal of medications and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. * Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, tidy, and well-organized at all times. Regularly sanitize surfaces, equipment, and workstations to maintain a hygienic environment. * Handle cash transactions accurately and provide receipts to customers when necessary. *Requirements:* * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service. * Detail-oriented and able to work accurately in a fast-paced environment. * Familiarity with pharmaceutical terminology, drug names, and prescription abbreviations. * Basic computer skills and ability to use pharmacy software for data entry and processing. * Strong ethics and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour Additional pay: * Overtime pay Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Monday to Friday * No weekends Experience: * pharmacy: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationWinnipeg, MB
