<p>We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented <strong>Senior Accountant</strong> to join our clients finance team. The Senior Accountant is a senior technical contributor who ensures accurate accounting treatment for land development, construction, and capital projects, while supporting month-end close, budgeting, lender reporting, and compliance requirements. This role is well-suited to an experienced accounting professional with strong development and project accounting experience who thrives in a growing, hands-on environment.</p> <p><strong>Pay:</strong> $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year</p> <p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, general ledger, and month-end close activities.</li> <li>Prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.</li> <li>Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with ASPE.</li> <li>Track and reconcile development and construction costs by project, phase, and category.</li> <li>Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost-to-complete analysis, identifying variances and risks.</li> <li>Support consolidated reporting across multiple entities.</li> <li>Maintain development proformas, capitalized costs, and fixed asset schedules.</li> <li>Assist with cash flow forecasting, financing activities, and lender reporting.</li> <li>Prepare variance analysis comparing actual results to budgets and forecasts.</li> <li>Support year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors and advisors.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Assist with statutory filings including HST, WSIB, EHT, and payroll remittances.</li> <li>Identify and support process improvements and system enhancements.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with development, operations, and finance teams to provide accurate financial insights.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.</li> <li>CPA designation required or actively pursuing.</li> <li>7+ years of progressive accounting experience.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting and ASPE reporting standards.</li> <li>Experience in real estate development or project-based accounting strongly preferred.</li> <li>Strong Excel skills and experience with financial analysis and reconciliations.</li> <li>Experience supporting audits and working with external stakeholders.</li> <li>High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills and ability to work with non-finance teams.</li> <li>High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.</li> </ul> <p>Apply Today!</p>- Location Woodstock, ON
