Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Inspect electrical and avionics systems. Install aircraft instruments. Ensure that the installation, maintenance, repair and overhaul of systems meet Transport Canada and company standards of performance and safety. Overhaul aircraft instruments. Repair and overhaul, modify, install and test aircraft electrical systems and equipment. Test electrical, electronic and instrument components. Troubleshoot communications, navigation, and autoflight equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, install and inspect aircraft systems and components. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's Licence (AME) - E. Type of industry experience: Aircraft manufacturing.
