*About the Opportunity* *Do you have a strong technical background and a passion for designing practical, efficient mechanical solutions? Are you detail-oriented and motivated by working across projects and teams?* DSI Dantech is seeking a *Mechanical Design Engineer* to join our team in Richmond, BC. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of mechanical systems that support both project delivery and ongoing operations. You will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure designs meet customer, manufacturing, and regulatory requirements. It is important to note that your immediate Manager is based in Singapore, but you will be surrounded by colleagues in both Canada and the US who you can knowledge-share with also. This also means that there could be occasional travel to the Singapore Office e.g. < 10 days a year. *What You?ll Do* As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will: * Develop and execute mechanical designs using *SolidWorks* * Create and maintain *3D models and detailed 2D technical drawings* in *SolidWorks* * Design *sheet metal components* and assemblies * Support Project Managers with *design updates, revisions, and technical documentation* * Maintain organized and accurate *design and project documentation* * Contribute to *design control processes and engineering documentation standards* * Ensure designs are *practical, manufacturable, and aligned with project specifications* * Collaborate with internal stakeholders across engineering, production, and sales *What You Bring* * Bachelor?s degree in *Mechanical Engineering* or a related discipline * Minimum *2-3 years of relevant experience* in mechanical design * Strong proficiency in *SolidWorks* * Experience with *design documentation, revision control, and engineering processes* * Basic knowledge in *AutoCAD* * Knowledge of *manufacturing processes* (e.g., sheet metal fabrication) * Strong communication and collaboration skills * Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment * High attention to detail and a structured approach to work *Why Join DSI Dantech?* * Work in a global, innovative engineering company * Collaborate with international teams and projects * Opportunities for professional growth and increased responsibility * A supportive and collaborative workplace culture *What we offer:* * Salary range: CAD $65,000 ? $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications * Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, etc.) * Paid vacation and statutory holidays * Opportunities for training and development *ABOUT DSI DANTECH* DSI Dantech is the world?s only provider of all three major food processing technologies: *cryogenic, mechanical, and plate freezing systems*.
