*Job Summary* We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Waldorf Kindergarten Teacher to join us. We are hiring for a 3 day a week Waldorf early childhood kindergarten teacher at the Seraphim Homeschooling Pod. Hours are from 8:30-3:15 daily Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. You will be responsible for delivering the Waldorf kindergarten curriculum to children ages 3-6. The rhythm includes morning forest play, nature walk, shared organic snack, indoor free play, circle time, story time, quiet time, led activity(sourdough bread baking, wet on wet painting, drawing.) handwork activities are woven throughout the week. This is a great opportunity for someone with a deep interest in Waldorf Earlychildhood education or someone looking for a good work/life balance and interested in coming to the South Shore of Nova Scotia. The position runs from March 24- June 12. With the option to renew the contract for the following year starting September 9th. There will be ample opportunities for support from a WECAN trained Waldorf kindergarten teacher as well as opportunities to fulfill practicum requirements for a Waldorf Early Childhood teachers certificate if that is what you are currently pursuing. We are looking for a loving, kind and caring individual who feels confident to come take on this sweet group of children and to be part of our community.Simple, affordable accomadation can be provided on the property. The homeschooling pod is located on a beautiful 30 acre biodynamic homesteading farm in Blockhouse, Nova Scotia (?Canada's Ocean Playground?). Main lesson teaching takes place during the mornings. The farm has plenty of space and lots of new projects always underway. Apple orchards, large gardens, a green house, chickens, goats, wool sheep, chickens, guinea hens, angora rabbits, peacocks, ducks, a horse and pony etc. are some of the features of the property and project. The area has one of the best farmers markets in Canada, with access to amazing biodynamic and organic food, peaceful forests, amazing beaches, etc. Blockhouse itself has many great resources, all within walking distance. Chicory Blue General Store, which has been lovingly restored from its previous general store life into an organic grocery and gardening supply store and restaurant/café, is only 2km away! Blockhouse also has an organic French bakery, a thriving antique market, local hardware store, as well as the South Shore Waldorf School.We have a strong anthroposophical community, festival life and social opportunities. This area offers a very high standard of living for a naturalist and their family. We are looking for a kindergarten teacher to join us in teaching 3 days a week from 8:30-3:15pm. Competitive wages will be compensated. Accommodation could be provided if needed and if willing to be content with simple and humble living on the property, or to board with a family in a separate private accommodation. A Waldorf-trained teacher with experience would be best but we are willing to train the right candidate with similar life experience or an interest and willingness.Curriculum and mentoring will be provided. There is a large supportive community that would be welcoming you, and helping to guide the teaching if that is needed.
