We are currently seeking: An experienced CSO (Construction Safety Officer) for one of our multi-family projects. The right candidate must have 5+ years experience as a CSO. Key duties and responsibilities: * Investigate health and safety related complaints, spills of hazardous chemicals, outbreaks of diseases or poisonings, and workplace hazards. * Inspect workplaces to ensure equipment, materials and production processes do not present a safety hazard to employees or the general public. * Develop, implement and evaluate health and safety programs and strategies. * Keep records of all incidents and maintain detailed and accurate documentation. * Ensure safe work practices are followed on site. * Review and approve safety equipment purchases. * Provide site orientations to new workers/ visitors. * Conduct Toolbox and site safety meetings for site staff. * Take appropriate action to correct unsafe acts or conditions. Job Requirements: * 5+ years experience as a CSO, preferably in multi-residential. * Valid Construction Safety Officer certificate. * Valid OFA 3 ticket. * Strong Communication Skills. * Must be able to commit to full time employment. * Organized and responsible. * Be able to commute to and from work. * Strong knowledge OHS regulations. * Computer proficient. * Must own PPE.
