Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Office. Tasks: Interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation. Read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements. Supervise the building and testing of prototypes. Test power equipment and systems . Assist in design, development and testing. Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications and reports. Assist in building and testing prototypes to specifications. Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Computer and technology knowledge: Internet. AutoCAD. MS Excel. MS Outlook. MS PowerPoint. MS Word. Programmable logic controller (PLC). MS Office. MS Windows. Equipment, eystems and controls experience: Electric motors, generators, drives and motor controls. Type of industry experience: Manufacture. Area of specialization: Design. Development. Testing. Operations or production. Repair. Troubleshooting. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle.
