This is a key role within the organization, responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for our Halifax branch.Key Responsibilities:Full cycle accountingAccounts payable & receivable invoice/payment processingAccount reconciliationsBank reconciliationsCash flow analysis & Budget preparation including presentationData entryFinancial Statement preparation, analysis, and reporting in a corporate environmentJournal entries and General Ledger analysisFiling T1 & T2 returnsFiling HST remittancesPayroll & Benefits processing including remittances, ROE's, T4, T4A, & T5 generationOversee the hiring, training, and development of the operational accounting teamQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA Designation is required3 - 5 years of hands-on full cycle accounting experienceWorking knowledge of GAAPAbility to work independently with minimum supervision, as well as on a teamDedicated and self-motivated with outstanding attention to detail and accuracyStrong financial, analytical, and business acumen skillsExperience with Accounting software such as QuickBooks is requiredAbove average organizational and communication skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentBenefits:Competitive salary between $70,000 and $80,000 annually, based on experienceTo Apply:Please submit your resume and cover letter.
