Responsibilities:
-Greet patients, answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records (plexia)
- Booking outgoing referrals and procedures at the hospital.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Confirming of upcoming appointments
- Provide support to medical staff and assist with patient care as needed
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the reception area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or similar administrative role
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Knowledge of medical office operations is a plus.
- Proficiency in using office software, such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably plexia
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes
