Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Attend educational conferences and workshops
  • Counsel students regarding educational, career or vocational issues
  • Counsel students regarding personal and social issues
  • Consult with teachers, parents, administrators and community agencies
  • Co-ordinate the provision of counselling and information services to students, parents and teachers
  • Administer and interpret standardized intelligence, aptitude and interest tests
  • Refer students to other specialized services when required
  • Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences and workshops
  • Arrange for recruitment of graduating students by employers
  • Prepare and deliver presentations at conferences, workshops and symposia
  • Answer inquiries from students
  • Evaluate and document students’ progress
