CALL OF INTERESTInstructor - English as a second languageNo 23-6775-063On call full time or part timeThe Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB) is seeking to create a directory of qualified instructors to teach English as a second language. Should any teaching positions become available in certain regions, qualified candidates will be contacted.JOB DESCRIPTION: As a member of the teaching staff, the candidate must:Teach various language courses based on current second language methodology.Plan and prepare courses, develop teaching materials, assess student progress, and ensure the monitoring and supervision of students.Serve on working committees at CCNB and, if necessary, within the communityConsult with fellow instructors to establish productive team-teaching guidelines.Assume various tasks related to the promotion and visibility of the Language Learning CentrePerform administrative tasks.REQUIREMENTS: A bachelor's degree, preferably in Education, and at least three (3) years' experience teaching English as a second language as well as a TESL (for the English second language teaching) or equivalent. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching English as a second language to immigrants using the Canadian Language BenchmarksA working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Excellent people skills, an elevated level of communication skills, as well as strong leadership abilities. Be willing to undergo a criminal record check. A candidate's record of attendance, professional appearance, and consistent performance are important.A combination of training and experience related to the position might be considered. The candidates must demonstrate this equivalence in their resumes. This job offer is conditional on getting funding.Must be a Canadian resident or hold a valid work permit in New Brunswick.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTWorkplace: At one of the associated campuses or sites Status: On-call, full time or part time Salary: According to the current collective agreement: Éducation (enseignants) (From 33,88 $ à 52,08 $//hour, according to education and experience)Selon la convention collective en vigueur du groupe : Éducation (enseignants) (de l'heure, selon la formation et l'expérience)To be considered: your resumé clearly states your skills, experience and language ability.
