Duties & responsibilities: Ability to be self-directed and require little direct supervision to perform tasks Monitoring instructional swimming activities, including: patrolling the pool deck and scanning the water, as well as monitoring patrons to ensure a safe swim environment Good interpersonal skills required for interacting with guests, staff and management Setting up the pool deck prior to your shift & cleaning the deck following your shift Adhering to all of Water Babies Covid-19 guidelines to ensure the safety of our customers and employees Performing other duties as assigned Recording all hours worked Requirements: Must have valid NLS and First Aid CPR-C Previous experience is preferred but not required Shifts currently needing cover are in January at Scuba 2000 (9033 Leslie St.) on Fridays from 4pm to 7pm and Saturdays from 8am to 11am. Job Types: Part-time, Permanent Pay: $17.50 per hour Flexible language requirement: * English not required Schedule: * Day shift * Evening shift * Every Weekend * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Ability to commute/relocate: * Markham, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: * lifeguarding: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Standard First Aid (preferred) * N.L. license (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationMarkham, ON
