IELTS/English Language Teacher * A dedicated teacher with an official teaching certificate or degree, preferably with teaching or examining experience for the IELTS/CELPIP/TOEFL exams. *The ability to communicate in English AND Mandarin is a PREFERENCE.* While we do prefer hiring a qualified teacher with a history of ESL teaching experience, we are more inclined to hire someone who is truly passionate about learning and who will actually commit to our team. In other words, we are willing to invest in training so long as our next teacher is the right fit for our team. We?re looking for someone who is aligned with our core values. * Someone who is kind and empathetic to their students? needs * Someone who is punctual, organized, and can keep up with their teaching schedule independently * Someone who is professional and comes to class prepared. * Someone who is committed to the job. Our students have serious objectives and we take their goals seriously. *Job Summary* * Teach international and Local students English in person, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing. * Textbook and teaching support are provided. * Small class size, usually 2 ? 4 students or 1-1 private class. * Students may have just a little English knowledge in fundamental class. * Students ages from 6 to 18 but might be younger or older. * 30 minutes, 1 hour or 90 minutes, or 2 hours per class. * Available Monday to Friday after 3:30 pm Saturday availability. * Can teach from home, clean, tidy, and quiet room background required. * Flexible schedule, usually lessons will be set up in the early morning and/or evening due to time zone differences. * Must be Familiar with Ontario Elementary and high school G9-12 curriculum A great candidate for this position will possess the following: * A bachelor's degree with a major in English or Education related. * ESL teacher qualification TEFL / TESOL / CELTA certificate preferred. * Ontario certified teacher preferred. * Ontario Public school and Private school teachers preferred. * Two years or more of teaching experience preferred. * Lively, vibrant, and engaging teaching styles are preferred. Job Type: Part-time Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Ability to commute/relocate: * Aurora, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Education: * Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Experience: * teaching: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2025-01-03
