This is a half-time position however, the shift time and schedule may be flexible as mutually agreed upon.
This position is responsible for providing efficient, effective, administration in a confidential, professional, and competent manner. These duties are performed under the policies and guidelines of the Lord Selkirk School Division, Manitoba Employment Standards and any other related requirements. The Human Resources Clerk must present a positive and professional image for all staff and others.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Clerk will provide assistance with clerical and technical support for CIMS activities.
- Maintain accurate, up to date and complete electronic personnel records in CIMS and add new material to files and records.
- Respond to telephone, e-mail, and in-person inquiries from division staff. Refer inquiries to the appropriate individuals, divisions, or departments.
- Scheduling interviews, meeting, and booking space as needed.
- Assisting with scheduling abd booking training.
- Assist with the preparation of forms, letters, reports, and memos as necessary.
- Working knowledge of collective agreements, labour laws and division policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high volumes of tasks and duties in an efficient manner in a deadline oriented environment.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills and Abilities:
- High School diploma, plus related human resources eductaion and/or experience.
- Minimum 2-3 years of HR or HR related experience.
- Demonstrated working experience in computerized HR systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Demonstrated ability to work with confidential material.
- Demonstrated time management, highly organized.
- Service oriented, with strong interpersonal skills for dealing with staff.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal skills and comprehension.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and under their own initiative.
- Demonstrated flexibility based on changing demands.
Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check will be required.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.35 per hour
Work Location: In person
