We pride ourselves on providing high-quality craftsmanship and a supportive work environment. *Position Overview:* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Millwright (Apprentice or Journeyman) to join our team in Sparwood, BC. This is a full-time, shop-based role with opportunities for overtime. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to work in a dynamic and team-oriented environment. *Key Responsibilities:* * Assemble and disassemble hydraulic cylinders with precision and care. * Perform welding, honing, polishing, and chroming tasks as needed. * Utilize manual machining techniques to produce or repair components. * Conduct routine maintenance and repair of shop equipment. * Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. *Qualifications:* * *Existing Apprentice or Journeyman Millwright Certification* (or equivalent experience). * Experience with hydraulic systems, welding, and machining is an asset. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. * Basic set of hand tools (all specialty tools provided by the company). * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. * Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools. *Work Schedule:* * Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (with the possibility of overtime). * Indoor, shop-based work environment (no fieldwork required). *Compensation and Benefits:* * Hourly wage: *$25?$42/hour*, based on experience and certification level. * Comprehensive benefits package (details provided during the interview process). * Opportunities for professional growth and skill development. *How to Apply: *Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their resume and a brief cover letter highlighting their qualifications and experience to *harderc@cil.ab.ca*. *Join our Team:* At Columbia Industries, we value our employees and are committed to providing a workplace that fosters growth, collaboration, and innovation.
