*Accounts Receivable Clerk *
*Department*: Finance
*Reports to*: Finance Director
*Term:* Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30am- 4:30pm.

*Summary:*
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our Finance team at Chippewas of the Thames First Nation. This role involves processing payments, supporting monthly and annual reporting, and collaborating with community members to resolve payment issues. As a key member of the Finance Department, you will play an important part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the mission and values of the First Nation.
*Key Responsibilities: *
? Process payments and compile data for monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles).
? Communicate with members of the community to resolve payment issues and establish payment plans.
? Perform basic accounting tasks using established procedures.
? Verify the accuracy of documents and financial codes.
? Post and balance financial data across various ledgers and reconcile bank accounts.
? Assist in the annual recovery of GST/HST filings for the Canada Revenue Agency.
? Support annual financial audits and provide assistance within the department as needed.
? Respond to information requests from stakeholders, including customers, shippers, and other departments.
*Additional Duties:*
? Order department cheques when required.
? Assist with accounts receivables for Treaties, Lands & Environment (TLE) and Housing departments.
? Process payroll and accounts payable in the absence of the Payroll Administrator or Accounts Payable Clerk.
? Collect water payments from clients, as needed.
? Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Director, Comptroller, or Administration Officer.

? Computer literate in MS Office
? Strong time management and organizational skills
*Qualifications: *
? Post-secondary or college diploma in accounting or a related field (preferred)
? Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar role.
? Proficiency in ERP systems such as Sage 300 Advance is considered an asset.
? Strong computer literacy, particularly in MS Office.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
? Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
? Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and apply basic accounting policies.
