Position Title: Toteroom LabourerPosition Type: Regular - Full-Time Position Location: Coaldale Grade: Scale 04 Requisition ID: 33681 Summary: Assists the tote room operator in operating all equipment in the tote room in a safe and efficient manner in relation to packaging demands. NOC: 95106Essential Duties / Responsibilities:Ensure the safety of yourself and your teammates. Responsible for accurately monitoring the movement of totes and for recording same (dumping / filling).Totes off and adds product back to the line as directed.Maintains a strict inventory of all toted product with the packaging lead hand.Accurately complete / maintain all required documentation.Complete required daily product quality testing and enter the data into OSI PI Manual Logger system.Ensures daily housekeeping and 5S practices are maintained in the Tote Room and Packaging areas with extra attention paid to proper sanitation and allergen handling requirements.Keep an eye on tote room equipment for maintenance and/or food safety concerns and report them to your lead hand immediately if found.Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Competencies)High School graduate or Grade 12 GED.Ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently using effective time management and organizational skills.Able to work with minimal supervision.Mathematical ability to perform basic calculations.Ability to work rotating shift work.Must have proven history of safe work habits in general as well as the ability to safety operate a forklift consistently.Successful completion of a 90-day familiarization period is required.Experienced with the safe handling of chemicals in accordance with WHMIS.Must be willing to work in a team-based atmosphere. Required Length, Type of Experience & Licenses (if applicable) Must be willing to obtain Zamboni, Personal Fall Protection and Scissor/Boom Lift and Forklift training.Physical RequirementsPhysically capable of performing all required duties including some heavy lifting (up to 50lbs).Hourly RateStart Rate: $ 25.02After 6 months: $ 26.01McCain Foods is an equal opportunity employer.
