<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>Creative Door Services, North America's largest overhead door dealer, operates nine branches across Western Canada and we have over 55 years of experience in the residential and commercial overhead door industry. We provide access solutions by servicing and installing a variety of overhead doors and driveway gate systems, operators and associated controls.</p><p>We have an immediate opening for a <strong>Lead Garage Door Technician </strong>in our <strong>Calgary </strong>Branch. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Lead Technician will service and install overhead doors. This role is a permanent, full-time position. There is the possibility of on call and overtime.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Diagnose problems, provide solutions, and carry out required work on overhead doors</li><li>Regularly coordinate with the service scheduler on problem solving and required parts</li><li>Provide estimates for how many person-hours are required for a service call, and the cost to fix versus replace doors</li><li>Contributing to business development of the branch by actively seeking new customers and building relationships with current customers</li><li>Being on-call</li><li>Other duties, as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in a <span class="long-word">Service/Installation</span> Industry</li><li>Experience in related trades or construction</li><li>Possess a valid driver's license</li><li>CDI Certification is an asset but not a requirement</li><li>Relevant safety training and tickets are an asset (such as OSSA Fall Protection, OSSA Elevated Work Platform, Standard First Aid, CSTS, BSO)</li><li>Experience <span class="long-word">servicing/installing</span> overhead doors is strongly preferred</li><li>Wearing a hard hat and other PPE is mandatory for this safety sensitive role</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds</li><li>Must be able to work outside in all different weather conditions, including cold and extreme heat.
