We work with you to find the best solutions for your needs using the latest innovations in our industry. *Reports to: *Operations Manager *Summary* We are looking for responsible Drivers to serve the needs of our valued customers. *Job Duties* * Operates vehicle in accordance with Wasteco rules and regulations. the Occupational and Safety Health Act, and all statutory requirements. * Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment and documents checks on standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report.). * Immediately reports any unsafe situations or service related issues to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. * Attends and participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings required by the Company. * Works closely with Dispatch to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices. * Notifies Dispatch and the Operations Manager of any incidents, accidents, injures, or property damage. * Notifies Dispatch of service interruptions, including blocked containers, closed lots, street, alleyways or potential safety hazards. * Communicates customer requests to Dispatch. * Identifies and reports all containers in need of repair or replacement * Positions and / or returns container on the customer?s property in a manner that ensures lids and or doors are properly replaced, and do not block driveway entrances or traffic. * Follows route assignments as directed and completes end of day documentation and the check out process. * Performs all duties as scheduled by Dispatch and assisting other drivers as directed to meet customer needs. *Job Requirements* * High School education or equivalent * 1 year previous experience operating front-end or roll-off commercial vehicles * DZ License * Acceptable driving record *Position Benefits* We provide a competitive wage rate, a full range of Group Insurance benefits, and an excellent Retirement Savings Plan working with an industry leading team of drivers, maintenance mechanics, and supervisors.
