Warehouse Operations Manager *Wheel Monitor Inc. *has been a well-respected in name in the trucking industry for over 20 years with a reputation based upon industry-leading _*Technology for Safe Transportation*_, exceptional customer service and best-in-class order fulfilment. *Function* · This role oversees the day-to-day functions of the Warehouse to ensure efficient and timely receiving, storage, picking & packing and shipping of company products. This a hands-on role. *Responsibilities * · Shipping & Receiving · Inventory Management · Warehouse supervision · Production & Quality assurance · Operation and maintenance of the warehouse · Compliance with safety, security, regulatory, and company policies. · Occasionally liaising with customers, suppliers and transport companies · Lead the Warehouse department in accordance with Wheel Monitor Values · Ensure the activities of the team: o Are safe o Comply with Employment Standards Act,2000 and Ministry of Ontario Labor Guidelines o Follow WMI policies & procedures o Support the WMI brand · Ensure the outputs/deliverables of the team optimize: o Order fulfilment o Product quality o Labour productivity o Facility Capacity · Ensure that the property and all equipment is maintained in a reliable, efficient, safe and clean condition · Establish & lead a culture of continuous improvement *Authority* · The Warehouse Operations Manager derives his/her authority from and is accountable to the VP Finance and Operations *Qualifications* · Minimum 5-years supervisory experience in warehouse operations · Proficiency in labour and production planning, warehouse management and inventory systems *Core Skills* · Proficient in MS Office- Excel, Word and Powerpoint · Demonstrated time management skills · Excellent oral and written communications skills · Superior people management abilities *Personal Attributes* · The candidate must demonstrate: o Sound work ethics o Strong organization & time management skills o Team player orientation *Working Conditions* · High energy, fast paced warehouse environment · This role combines both administrative and hands-on work in our warehouse. · He/she will be: o Lifting of boxes up to 50 lbs o Lifting rear roll up door on trucks o Moving boxes on and off trucks o Due to the nature of the industry, longer hours will be required from time-to-time *Compensation:* · Hourly · Benefits available to full-time employees after successful completion of three-month probationary period *Job Type*: Full time *Job Location*: Niagara-on-the-Lake Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * On-site parking Schedule: * Monday to Friday Education: * Secondary School (preferred) Experience: * warehouse: 2 years (required) Work Location: In person Application deadline: 2024-12-20
