Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: At heights. Confined spaces. Work setting: Construction. Service. Repair. Various locations. Maintenance. Commercial. Residential. Installation. Troubleshooting/diagnostic. Tasks: Install underground wiring and cables. Splice, join and connect wires. Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits. Troubleshoot and isolate faults. Install surface mount and/or overhead cables. Instruct apprentices. Supervise other workers. Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Equipment and machinery experience: Conventional electrical devices. High voltage equipment. Motors and controls. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Tight deadlines.
