Job description 64 bed LTC care facility looking for cook. Must have food safety training certificate. Red Seal an asset. Shifts required: 0600-1400 and 1000-1800 Security and Safety Criminal record check Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Fast-paced environment, Handling heavy loads, Work under pressure, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Dependability, Team player, Excellent oral communication, Judgement, Flexibility, Reliability, Organized Additional Skills Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef Follow standardized food recipes Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food Clean kitchen and work areas Work Setting: long-term care facility Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.) Safe Food Handling certificate Job Types: Part-time, Permanent Pay: $24.06 per hour Expected hours: 20 per week Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care Schedule: * 8 hour shift Application question(s): * Do you have Red Seal papers Experience: * cooking: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationBarrie, ON
