Job details
NorthStream Safety & Rehab is currently seeking to hire a nurse/admin to join our team. The successful candidate would be working to assist NorthStream with all occupational testing, among other types of medical testing in the region. The duties of this role will also include administrative duties and Quality Control. The role is expected to be a 50/50 split between Occupational Health Testing, coordination of specific client cases, and administrative duties.

*Responsibilities:*
Assisting with client intake (administration) and tracking
Utilizing Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe PDF, and other forms of software
Preparing required paperwork
Administer various occupational health tests including:
Drug & Alcohol
Nurse Medicals
Fitness Testing
Audiometric
Spirometry
Vision
Mask Fitting
Complete after-hours and onsite testing at the North Stream Rehab office site or mobile-client worksites when required
Complete corresponding paperwork and send off test results to the correct department(s)
Complete proper logs, tracking, invoice system updates, and other admin duties assigned.
Assist with team atmosphere and team building
Participate in H&S inspections/meetings
Participate in SOPs and other processes
General office, cleaning, and administrative duties
Collaborating with third-party sites and internal staff at other locations to ensure tests are complete
Ability to take shift work from time to time at client sites for nursing medicals or emergency response
Ability to be on-call rotation with other staff.
Accurately collect and record information from patients as required
Creating a calm and positive experience for the clients and internal staff
*Requirements:*
Registered Practical Nurse Diploma (minimum) preference given to Occupational Health Background but not requirement.
Currently, registration is in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Demonstrated clinical competence with general medicine nursing skills
Previous experience working in an outpatient clinic setting/ambulatory care environment preferred
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an interprofessional team, as well as independently
Excellent physical assessment skills, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in fast-paced environment
Experience working with diverse population groups
Team Player with a Positive attitude
Demonstrated understanding and commitment to patient-centred care
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrated ability to engage and educate patients and families
Demonstrated record of good performance and acceptable attendance will be considered as part of the selection criteria
Knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Adobe PDF programs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00-$44.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 35.00 per week

* Occupational Health Care: 2 years (preferred)
