Candidates should not only be able to craft perfect cocktails, but will also provide outstanding service in our big bar section and be a helpful member to our dynamic Bar Team and other staff. MAIN DUTIES: · Prepare beverages, accurately to recipe specs, and mix and match ingredients in innovative ways · Answer questions about food, beverages, wine and other restaurant functions and services · Be responsive and helpful about off-menu items such as classic cocktails and expand personal knowledge in this area as much as possible · Accurately ring in orders, adding modifiers where needed. · Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience and repeat customers KEY REQUIREMENTS: · 2+ years minimum experience as a bartender in a fast-paced environment · Smart certified and understanding of responsible alcohol service · Excellent wine and cocktail knowledge · Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks; keen desire to expand knowledge and keep on trends · Possess strong communication skills and a genuine personality · A positive, energetic outlook with a passion for hospitality · Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment · Highly organized with acute attention to detail · Ability to carry and lift up to 25-40lb · Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays, if required Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $17.20 per hour Additional pay: * Overtime pay * Tips Schedule: * Day shift * Evening shift * Monday to Friday * On call * Weekends as needed Ability to commute/relocate: * Newmarket, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: * Bartending: 2 years (required) * Serving: 2 years (required) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2024-12-18
