Position #: TI148142 Expected Start Date: January 06, 2025 Union: HSAS Facility: Shaunavon Hospital and Care Centre City/Town: Shaunavon Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Part-time regular FTE: 0.67 Shift Information: Days, Evenings, Weekends, Standby Hours of Work: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 4 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: No Job Description: Reporting to the Southwest EMS Operations Manager the Emergency Medical Technician - Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) is responsible for responding to emergent and non-emergent EMS calls for service; and for providing initial assessment, treatment, stabilization and transport of ill or injured persons at the Basic Life Support level. The PCP will provide care with strict adherence to: Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) core values, policies, and work standards; Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Paramedic Clinical Practice Protocols; The Paramedics Act and SCoP Regulatory and Administrative Bylaws; and The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations. Human Resources Exemption: No Education- Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)Licenses- Automated External Defibrillator Certificate (AED)- Valid Class 4 driver's license- Registered Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic (EMT/PCP)- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)- International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)Competencies- Intermediate - Conflict resolution skills- Advanced - Interpersonal skills- Advanced - Listening skillsKnowledge and Abilities- Ability to work independently- Decision making through the application of clinical, legal & ethical practice- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team- Demonstrates the ability to be resourceful and to adapt to changing ...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.- LocationShaunavon, SK
