Position #: 164016 Expected Start Date: December 27, 2024 Union: HSAS Facility: Kerrobert & District Health Centre City/Town: Kerrobert Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Part-time temporary Expected Up to Date: December 26, 2025 FTE: 0.75 Shift Information: Days, Nights, Evenings, Weekends, Standby Hours of Work: 168.00 hours per 6 week rotationScheduled hours of work may be reduced during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: No Job Description: The EMT will respond to calls for service as per dispatch instructions, providing assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons. The EMT will cover standby assignment, as operations require. Human Resources Exemption: No Education- Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)Licenses- Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)- Registered Paramedic (2011 National Occupational Competency Profile standards)- Health Care Provider Level C Certificate (HCP-C)- International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)- Valid Class 4 driver's licenseCompetencies- Basic - Communication skills- Basic - Interpersonal skillsKnowledge and Abilities- Ability to work and communicate in a cross cultural settingOther Information- Employer will endeavour to ensure on-call does not exceed 300 hours in 3 weeks- Kerrobert is located approximately 147 km south of North Battleford- Clean Driver's Abstract- Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level- Must be able to respond to the ambulance within 10 minutes when on-call- For more information on the town of Kerrobert please visit https://www.kerrobertsk.com/- Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Co...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.- LocationKerrobert, SK
