The graphic designer uses art and technology, with both text and images, to create visual concepts to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers. They develop the overall layout and production design for packaging, products, advertisements, and brochures. *ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES* Developing 2D Visual Elements for Packaging, Marketing, and Advertising * Develop visual concepts for new and existing products * Posters and banners * POP displays * Labels/stickers * Product packaging (boxes, wrappers, etc.) * Promotional media (presentations, inserts, one pages, etc.) * Create proofs and mock-ups of packaging concepts. * Create website and social media graphics. * Retouching and manipulation of product images. * Website layout & design. Participate in Creative Strategy Meetings * Assist in developing marketing and advertising concepts * Outline the focus of new and existing product offerings * Develop creative direction of projects. * Search out new trends in design, color, etc. Create Supporting Visual Elements * Develop presentations/marketing materials * Create/layout instruction manuals * Photo editing/manipulation for website and projects * Create POS Sheets for website and presentations Production Projects * Create and maintain brand guides. * Create instructions for logo application & placement. * Create orthographic drawings for 3d displays and containers. * Oversee print files to ensure correct dimensions, color accuracy, etc. * Send to and correspond with third party print services, as necessary. * Take photos of products for samples and mock-ups. * Proofread and assist in developing verbiage for projects. * Search for photos and other support materials * Take photos of in-house displays and products * Organize & assemble in-house displays and presentations. *QUALIFICATIONS* Education * Degree/Diploma in Graphic Design or a similar designation. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Ability to cooperate with sales team to interpret company needs to design solutions with high visual impact. * Ability to think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts * Possess creative flair, versatility conceptual/visual ability and originality * Up to date with industry leading software and computer technologies (In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop etc.) * Highly proficient in all design aspects * Ability to take direction, be flexible to changing ideas, and handle rejection of concepts or designs. * Minute attention to detail is crucial to this position.
