NOTICE OF JOB OPPORTUNITY POSITION: ReceptionistSTATUS: CasualDEPARTMENT: AdministrationHOURS OF WORK: 8 hour day shift (9AM-5PM) 7 days a week as requiredRESPONSIBLE TO: Resident Services ManagerREQUIRED: ASAPPOSTING DATE: December 13, 2024POSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the Resident Services Manager the receptionist will receive and direct all phone calls, visitors, tradespersons and others coming to Saint Vincent's; monitor main entrance to ensure general security and fulfill clerical duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:Minimum of Grade 12.Customer service experience and clerical work experience.Experience working with seniors and/or in a health care setting is an asset.Experience with Microsoft Office.Use of all standard office equipment.Executes pleasant and professional decorum.Excellent communication skills and time management.Able to work in a fast-paced environment.Typing 40 wpm with accuracy.Clean criminal record check with vulnerable sector check.RESPONSIBILITIES:Active screening and documentation of all individuals entering the facility to ensure they meet public health guidelines.Oversee residents leaving and returning to facility.Screening and monitoring indoor visits.Portering residents to and from the designated visiting area.Receive incoming telephone calls and, when necessary, take and forward messages.Receive deliveries arriving at the main entrance.Ensure the security of the main entrance and, in particular, to ensure residents do not leave the building without authorization.Clerical work as required including typing, filing, scheduling appointments.Demonstrate an environment that supports Resident and Family Centred Care.Other related duties as assigned.Quoting Competition Number RCP-007-CB, apply in writing to employment@svnh.ca on or before December 19, 2024.- LocationHalifax, NS
