<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><strong>JUNIOR TO MID-LEVEL LEGAL COUNSEL</strong></p><p><strong>OVERVIEW</strong></p><p>Greenwood Sustainable Infrastructure LLC (GSI) is a renewable energy company focused on the development, construction and operation of distributed generation and utility-scale solar energy and battery storage projects in North America. GSI is the North American renewable energy subsidiary of Libra Group, a privately owned, global business group with assets and operations in nearly 60 countries. GSI is looking for a Junior to Mid-Level Legal Counsel who is eager to apply their legal expertise to support the company's initiatives in Canada and the United States. You will be expected to play a key role in a range of matters.</p><p><strong> KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:</strong></p><p>The successful candidate will provide support by:</p><ul><li>diligence, structuring, drafting, negotiating and closing various types of documentation, which may include options to lease, title clearing documents, PPAs, EPC agreements, O&M agreements, loan agreements, M&A agreements, JV agreements, governance agreements, general corporate agreements and documents;</li><li>corresponding with external legal counsel and third parties and providing timely support to GSI's business lines; and</li><li>support on other legal matters and transactions.</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><p>The successful candidate will have the following competencies:</p><ul><li>LLB or JD from an accredited law school with bar admission in Ontario or another Province;</li><li>Minimum of 2-4 years of legal experience at a leading law firm or in-house;</li><li>experience in some or all of diligence, structuring, drafting, negotiating and closing options to lease, title clearing, PPA, EPC, O&M, project finance, M&A, JV, governance and general corporate documentation;</li><li>preferably experience in renewable energy;</li><li>commercial astuteness and motivated by the work that you do</li><li>ability to manage a high volume of legal matters and</li><li>ability to work collaboratively and independently.</li></ul><p><strong>Job Type: </strong>Full-Time</p><p><strong>Job Location:</strong> Hybrid, with time in the Waterloo Region office tailored to the location of the successful candidate</p><p><strong>Timing: </strong>applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, with interviews anticipated for January</p></div>Company Description<div>Our team is committed to developing utility-scale solar projects that meet the needs and specifications of each individual proposal.
