We are seeking an experienced *Site Manager* to oversee our explosives manufacturing and distribution facility. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this role entails planning, organizing, directing, and managing all aspects of the site?s operations. The successful candidate will prioritize health and safety, maintain quality and productivity standards, deliver exceptional customer service, and lead the management of personnel and budgets.
*Key responsibilities *
* Uphold and promote health and safety standards in all workplace activities.
* Lead and manage a team of approximately 25 employees.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
* Monitor and control costs while managing the site?s budget.
* Collaborate in the preparation of the annual operating budget.
* Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality and productivity.
* Drive the development and implementation of site improvement initiatives.
* Represent EPC Canada professionally in customer-facing interactions.
* Coach, mentor, and develop employees to achieve their full potential.
* Organize and oversee the maintenance of industrial and heavy vehicle equipment.
* Conduct daily team meetings with a focus on occupational health and safety (OHS).
* Perform additional duties as required to support site operations.
*Qualifications*
* Post-secondary education in production, manufacturing management, or a related field.
* Proven experience in operations management within manufacturing or production (5?10 years).
* Demonstrated expertise in personnel management and team leadership.
* Basic knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles.
* Technical aptitude in industrial mechanics, fixed machinery, or heavy vehicle systems.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, Outlook, Word).
* Familiarity with explosive products and hazardous materials regulations (preferred).
* Bilingualism in English and French (an asset).
