With extensive expertise in storage and distribution, EPC Canada supports key industries, including mining, construction, and quarrying. We are seeking an experienced *Site Manager* to oversee our explosives manufacturing and distribution facility. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this role entails planning, organizing, directing, and managing all aspects of the site?s operations. The successful candidate will prioritize health and safety, maintain quality and productivity standards, deliver exceptional customer service, and lead the management of personnel and budgets. *Key responsibilities * * Uphold and promote health and safety standards in all workplace activities. * Lead and manage a team of approximately 25 employees. * Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements. * Monitor and control costs while managing the site?s budget. * Collaborate in the preparation of the annual operating budget. * Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality and productivity. * Drive the development and implementation of site improvement initiatives. * Represent EPC Canada professionally in customer-facing interactions. * Coach, mentor, and develop employees to achieve their full potential. * Organize and oversee the maintenance of industrial and heavy vehicle equipment. * Conduct daily team meetings with a focus on occupational health and safety (OHS). * Perform additional duties as required to support site operations. *Qualifications* * Post-secondary education in production, manufacturing management, or a related field. * Proven experience in operations management within manufacturing or production (5?10 years). * Demonstrated expertise in personnel management and team leadership. * Basic knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles. * Technical aptitude in industrial mechanics, fixed machinery, or heavy vehicle systems. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, Outlook, Word). * Familiarity with explosive products and hazardous materials regulations (preferred). * Bilingualism in English and French (an asset). *Skills and competencies* * Strong focus on health, safety, and work quality. * Exceptional leadership and team mobilization abilities. * Highly organized with strong prioritization and problem-solving skills. * Adaptive and capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. * Decisive and results-driven with demonstrated initiative. * Excellent communication, active listening, and managerial courage. *Compensation and benefits* * Competitive salary package. * 90% employer-paid insurance, including dental, supplemental health, and disability coverage. * Employer-sponsored pension plan. * Employee assistance program for wellness support. * Access to ongoing training and professional development. * Flexibility for occasional irregular work hours. *Additional requirements * * Valid and recognized driver?s license. * No legal barriers to employment. * Availability for occasional travel and mobility. * Possession of a valid passport. *Work location* 3045 Highway 650, Dane, Ontario, P2N 3K4 Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Benefits: * Company events * Dental care * Disability insurance * Employee assistance program * Extended health care * Flexible schedule * Language training provided * Life insurance * On-site parking * Relocation assistance * RRSP match Schedule: * Monday to Friday Experience: * plant management: 5 years (required) * production management: 5 years (required) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2025-01-20
