B.S.L. Machine Ltd is leading manufacturer in steel component design, fabrication and repairs including a specialty in gearing and gearbox remanufacturing. B.S.L. has been in the machining industry since 1965, primarily serving industrial applications in the Edmonton area. We are currently recruiting for an Shipper/Receiver reporting directly to the Operations Manager. This position will play a key role in the continued work flow process of manufactured components. Responsibilities: * Primarily responsible for all aspect of preparing, completing all packing, labelling and documenting of product leaving the building * Filing of appropriate incoming/outgoing documentation as required * Receiving product from vendors and/or customer by use of forklift or overhead lifting devices * Where required, make recommendations for alternative products/upgrades * Providing outstanding customer service * Building, maintaining and cultivating a professional relationship with all customers and coworkers Qualifications: * Excellent written and verbal skills * Solid organizational skills including attention to detail * Self motivated with strong ability to multitask, prioritize and work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines * Read and understand documentation before signing off on incoming/outgoing paperwork * Valid Forklift License * Previous experience with rigging and overhead crane use * Conscientious about safety in all aspects of the workplace Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Casual dress * Dental care * Disability insurance * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site parking Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday * No weekends Education: * Secondary School (preferred) Language: * English (required) Work Location: In person- LocationEdmonton, AB
