Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. Tasks: Hire, supervise and schedule staff. Plan and direct grounds maintenance. Plan and estimate labour and materials. Organize and direct construction of decks and decorative or retaining walls. Plan, manage and supervise landscape construction work. Maintain work records and logs. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Establish work schedules and procedures. Supervision: 16-20 people. Equipment and machinery experience: Pick-up truck. Small engine equipment. Tractor. Area of specialization: Grounds maintenance. Landscape construction. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Gloves. Personal suitability: Client focus. Excellent oral communication. Team player. Screening questions: Are you available for the advertised start date?. Are you currently a student?.
