Education: Master's degree. Work setting: Sports therapy. Orthopedics. Manipulative therapy. Hospital/medical facility or clinic. Private practice. Tasks: Administer evaluative tests. Assess patients' physical abilities. Examine the patient. Plan physiotherapy programs. Select appropriate exercises, apparatus and manipulations. Maintain clinical and progress reports. Confer with other health professionals. Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). Gunn IMS (intramuscular stimulation) certified. Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities. Personal suitability: Punctuality. Client focus. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Interpersonal awareness. Judgement.
