Join our Team! Assistant General Manager - duties include, but are not limited to: Employee Relations * Coach, lead and manage team members * Assist with hiring, interviewing, onboarding & training of new team members * Assist in scheduling & conducting regular performance reviews of all team members * Develop & maintain positive, motivating & professional relationships with team members * Ensure Smitty?s procedures & policies are being followed at all times * Delegate daily tasks to team members * Provide ongoing performance feedback to team members & set employee goals & objectives * Maintain and demonstrate professional work ethics & a positive attitude at all times * Work on the floor and coach team members in real time Administrative Duties: * Develop all team member schedules * Help with liquor & food inventory controls to meet & exceed annual budget * Enter payroll information * Manage cash and conduct daily paperwork * Attend to ATM, VLT?s and daily cash flow * Oversee maintenance and upkeep of equipment Guest Services: * Develop a professional, friendly relationship with customers & suppliers * Manage the daily operations of the restaurant * Maintain a clean appearance in all areas of the building * Provide exceptional customer service Key Requirements: * Serving it Safe Certificate * Food Handler?s Certificate (an asset but not mandatory) * 2+ years in the restaurant/hospitality field * 2+ years in a leadership position * Excellent customer service and teamwork skills * Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time * Organized with the ability to multitask & problem solve * Must be able to work long hours, holidays, weekends and evenings * Some on call work and a willingness to answer your phone on off time will be required Job Type: Full-time Pay: $48,000.00-$50,000.00 per year Additional pay: * Tips Benefits: * Dental care * Discounted or free food * Extended health care Schedule: * Day shift * Evening shift * Morning shift * Night shift * Weekends as needed Ability to commute/relocate: * Winnipeg, MB R2V 3E1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: * Restaurant management: 2 years (required) Licence/Certification: * Food Handler Certification (preferred) * Smart Choices Certification (preferred) Location: * Winnipeg, MB R2V 3E1 (required) Work Location: In person- LocationWinnipeg, MB
