helps*Objective: *
The Guest Services Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of hospitality are always demonstrated when welcoming guests into the hotel and helps maximize room revenues by assisting in the direction and supervision of the activities of the Front Office operations in accordance with the company standards.
*Responsibilities and Essential Duties:*
* Meets and exceeds customer and team member expectations by providing excellent services and facilitating teamwork
* Assist in providing control over rates; implement approved rate changes.
* Monitors advance deposit procedure.
* Assists in preparing reports as requested to develop a more informative database for applicable decision-making.
* Maintains statistics on rooms and reservations, guest arrivals and departures, average occupancy rates, and related information.
* Manage group arrivals and departures.
* Coordinates billing with the Accounting Department.
* Some accounting duties include but are not limited to the responsibility of safe/vault.
* Some administrative duties include but are not limited to responding to guest complaints through our Guest feedback.
* Ability to accept other duties as required
* Assists in assuring guest satisfaction, maximizing room revenue by supervising the Front Office, and implementing established strategic plans.
* Ensures guest mail handling and message delivery systems function efficiently
* Assist in providing training and guidance following operation procedures
* Manage team activity and blocks under hotel guidelines, maintaining control of ?OR? rooms at all times
* Schedule associates following forecasted occupancy; adjust staffing as necessary for sudden changes.
* Complete front desk duties as per the business needs.
* Orient, train, and coach qualified associates, to ensure the execution of hotel standards, key deliverables, and approved methods of service.
* Ensure PCI (Payment Card Industry) is always compliant.
* Ensure you and all associates are following proper training etiquette.
* Ensure confidentiality is always upheld.
* Coordinate with the sales team and follow up when required.
* Coordinate with HR for any team building required.
* Ensure guest satisfaction is a priority.
* Manage group arrivals and departures.
* Along with other front office leaders, will be deemed the hotel duty manager, coordinating, and assisting when requested
* Will ensure the health and safety throughout the hotel by following proper procedures, ensuring department preparedness at all time
* Addresses questions & problems relating to customer room accommodation and rates, and ensures guest resolution standards are followed.
* Controls open and closed dates, availability, and condition of rooms.
* Provides effective key control and participates in matters relating to guest room security.
* Ensures guest mail handling and message delivery systems function efficiently.
Job Specifications and Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
*Education*: High School diploma and some Post-Secondary Education
*Experience*: 3-5 Years experience in the Hospitality Industry either in the Front Office or related capacity
*Interpersonal Skills:* Focuses on solving conflict, maintains confidentiality; Actively listens to others without interrupting or distractions; Maintains a positive attitude even in negative situations; Remains open to others' ideas and tries new things. Versatile, and able to work under stressful situations. Must be able to work well under pressure. Takes pride in a job well done.
