Job details
Education: Bachelor's degree. Tasks: Collect blood, tissue or other samples from patients. Document observations on patients' specimens. Examine the results of the tests. Log patient samples and prepare them for testing. Set up medical laboratory equipment. Conduct routine laboratory tests and sample analyses. Clean and maintain medical laboratory and laboratory equipment. Conduct quality control assessment of testing techniques. Collect tissue specimens for chemical analysis and record findings. Discard specimens according to established safety procedures. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel. MS Word. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Repetitive tasks. Fast-paced environment. Ability to distinguish between colours. Attention to detail. Work under pressure. Personal suitability: Client focus. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication.
