Position #: 9001441 Expected Start Date: January 01, 2025 Union: SUN Facility: Birchview Home City/Town: Birch Hills Department: Primary Care Sites Type: Part-time temporary Expected Up to Date: June 18, 2025 FTE: 0.6 Hours of Work: 8 shifts of 8 hours per 3 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse Practitioner $52.590 to $62.910 Travel Required: No Job Description: IN COLLABORATION WITH PHYSICIANS AND THE PRIMARY CARE TEAM, THE NURSE PRACTITIONER WILL PROVIDE PRIMARY HEALTH CARE SERVICES TO SEVERAL COMMUNITIES. THIS INCLUDES: HEALTH PROMOTION AND PROTECTION, DISEASE AND INJURY PREVENTION, PROVISION OF SUPPORTIVE, INSTRUCTIVE, TREATMENT AND EMERGENCY SERVICES; COLLABORATION WITH AND REFERRAL TO OTHER HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS; CONDUCTING COMMUNITY NEEDS ASSESSMENTS AND PARTICIPATING IN EVALUATIVE PROJECTS. THE INCUMBENT REPORTS TO THE DIRECTOR OF PRIMARY CARE FOR THE PRINCE ALBERT PARKLAND HEALTH REGION. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience- Experience in community needs assessment/development, health promotion- Three (3) years full-time experience as a Registered Nurse- 2 - 3 years experience as a Primary Care Nurse or Nurse Practitioner preferred.Education- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)- Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP)Licenses- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)- Basic Life Support Level C Certificate (BLS-C)- Valid Class 5 driver's licenseOther Education and Training- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) or other trauma assessment course desiredKnowledge and Abilities- Working knowledge of community needs assessment- Ability to competently use computers and software applications- Ability to work independently and as a leader of a multidisciplinary team- Working knowledge in health promotion- Knowledge in community development- Co...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.- LocationBirch Hills, SK
