*Location:* This position is based out the EWPCN Medical Clinic located in Meadowlark Health and Shopping Centre with some work being performed at various community sites.

*Objective: *Nurse Practitioners (NP?s) are strategically positioned in primary care to fulfill a vital role in promoting health literacy and empowering patients to take control of their health through education on disease prevention, management and self-care practices. *ABOUT THE EDMONTON WEST PRIMARY CARE NETWORK:*
With a mission to support family physicians in improving primary care through relationships, collaboration and innovation, Primary Care Networks (PCN) are groups of family doctors who work with other health professionals to coordinate the comprehensive delivery of primary care services for their patients. Our team of health professionals include Nurses, Dietitians, Pharmacists, Behavioral Health Consultants, Social Workers and Exercise Specialists who collaborate to provide comprehensive primary care services for the community.
*In this role, you can expect to: *
*Provide Direct Patient Care:*
* Take part in an on-call schedule to ensure timely continuity of care for all patients
* Participate in community programs as needed to deliver Primary Care services
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care to patients of all ages according to clinical practice guidelines and best practices
* Advise patients and their families on health care including health promotion, disease, illness and accident prevention
* Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary team
* Perform a patient advocacy role
* Prescribe and administer medications
* Perform minor surgical procedures; apply dressings, splits, slings, tensors, ear syringe; and basic wound care
* Ensure accurate, objective, and timely clinical documentation in the appropriate medical record

*Qualifications: *
* Master?s degree in nursing
* Current CRNA Registration in the Family-All Ages (FAA) stream
* 5 years of nursing experience (including RN experience) in a primary care or acute care setting
* Basic Life Support CPR (CPR-BLS)
