*Job Summary* The primary focus for the Production Manager is the planning, organizing, and directing the manufacturing operations to ensure the most effective return on assets while implementing manufacturing strategies and action plans to meet production schedules. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you?ll be responsible for leading and training a hardworking team on the production floor, setting goals and KPIs, and ensuring efficient and safe overall productivity. *REPORTING TO: Director of Operations* *RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES* * Manage a team of production staff to ensure that production meets its schedule and budget targets. * Review and set KPIs and Targets for Production. * Foster an 80/20 approach to the business: 80% of our revenue comes from 20% of our customers; 80% of our revenue comes from 20% of our products. We put an emphasis on the customers and products which drive our business. * Work closely with Production Planning personnel to ensure that resources are allocated in the most effective manner possible to meet customer demands. * Establish and implement manufacturing targets, monitor and support individuals and the team in the achievement of targets and objectives. Ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary. * Be the catalyst for production-oriented improvement initiatives and consistently and systematically seek out ways to improve production operations. * Communicate with Engineering, Sales, Service, and Manufacturing Engineering to help resolve issues. * Support and promote all aspects of the Conviron Quality and Continuous Improvement program. * Champion of daily management * Lead in the evaluation of team performance. Provide daily coaching to individual team members. Identify individual performance gaps, create and execute corrective action. * Ensure the performance of production teams is aligned with corporate objectives, specifically those surrounding safety, production lead time, quality, throughput, productivity and cycle time. *OTHER DUTIES* * Ensure employees adhere to company Quality Control Program, along with Employment, Safety Policies and Procedures. * Maintain production schedule and determine the staffing required. * Recommend quality and efficiency improvements. * Work with Production Supervisors to ensure proper training of employees. * Promote the documentation and adherence of standard operating procedures. * Promote continuous improvement (CI). *DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS* * 10 years of technical experience in manufacturing required * 10 years of previous management or supervisory experience required * Labor Relations experience required * Prior experience in a production manager or leadership role within manufacturing * Strong people skills, both written and verbal communication * Leadership qualities and positive role model behaviour * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint) * Organizational and planning skills * Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities * Conflict management expertise * Ability to handle stress and maintain accuracy in procedures * Must be legally eligible to work in Canada *ADDITIONAL DETAILS* * Duration: Full-Time/Permanent * Location: On-site/In-person * Compensation: Successful candidate will be remunerated based on their skills and experience * Opening Date: December 10, 2024 * Closing Date: Once a suitable candidate is selected *DIVERSITY & INCUSION COMMITMENT:* _We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
