The company has a modern and attractive working environment, and a strong health benefits package.</p><p>Due to the growth of our business, we have opening for a Spray Painter/Sand Blaster</p><p><strong>Major Areas of Responsibility</strong></p><ul><li>Sand blast and spray paint products and equipment as assigned by supervisor.</li><li>Work under minimum technical direction from the Shop Team Leader.</li><li>Inspect work in accordance with specifications.</li><li>Carryout prescribed preventive maintenance activities in accordance with scheduled check list.</li><li>Minimize scrap and rework.</li><li>Prevent lost time and rework in setting up and making repairs to equipment as required and notify supervisor.</li><li>Complete work within expected periods of time with minimum supervision.</li><li>Communicate well with colleagues and supervisors.</li><li>Work at customers site in a professional manner when warranty work is required.</li><li>Follow company health and safety policy and all company policies.</li><li>Complete shop records accurately.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Past experience as a Sand Blaster/Spray Painter in an industrial environment.</li><li>Minimum 2 years' experience in a metal fabricating industrial field.</li><li>Able to handle all shop equipment including sand blasting, mixing, hand dollies, paint thickness gauges, hand tools and safety equipment.</li><li>Be able to read basic drawings and understand written instructions.</li><li>Ability to communicate in English (spoken, read/write)</li><li>Ability to handle light to medium heavy materials intermittently.</li><li>Have close mental and visual attention.</li><li>Forklift and/or overhead crane operation experience an asset.</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive wage and benefits package</li><li>Clean, modern, and friendly working environment</li><li>Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and Uniform provided.</li></ul></div>Company Description<div>Northern Transformer <span class="long-word">www.northerntransformer.com</span><br><br>Northern Transformer Corporation is a North American manufacturer of liquid filled transformers of the highest quality and reliability serving the North American market since 1981.
