We are currently looking for a self-motivated *Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) for our full service Companion Animal Hospital *
Must work well as part of a team as well as individually*. *You must excel at the basic technician duties such as nursing care, animal handling, anaesthetics, sample collection and assessment, medical documentation/ computation and be comfortable with basic equipment maintenance and usage. This role is best suited to someone who wishes to apply and as well further their knowledge and skills within the Clinic and the profession while communicating effectively with clients and colleagues alike.

*Hours are Monday to Friday - 8am to 6pm no evenings or weekends.*

*Responsibilities*
* Assist veterinarians in examining and treating animals, ensuring their comfort and safety.
* Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including blood draws and sample analysis, administering anesthesia, surgeries and dental procedures.
* Monitor patient during anesthesia and recovery.
* Ability to discharge patient, explain and educate client for post procedure care.
* Maintain all surgical and medical log books.
* Be able to perform routine x-rays (dental and whole body).
* Administer medications and vaccinations as prescribed.
* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
* Educate pet owners on proper care and preventive health measures.
* Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic and medical equipment.
*Qualifications*
* Valid Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license is preferred
* Strong understanding of animal anatomy and physiology
* Proficiency in laboratory techniques and procedures
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
* Experience in animal care and handling
* Knowledge of veterinary software and record-keeping systems
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$29.00 per hour
