The successful candidate will oversee the management and operations of our furnished rental properties, ensuring they meet the highest standards of tenant satisfaction, financial performance, and operational efficiency. *Key Responsibilities* * Manage the day-to-day operations of Harrington Housing?s Halifax/Nova Scotia portfolio, including property maintenance, tenant relations, and compliance with real estate regulations. * Conduct regular property inspections to maintain quality and address potential issues proactively. * Foster strong relationships with tenants, responding promptly to inquiries, resolving concerns, and promoting a positive living experience. * Lead tenant onboarding, lease agreements, and move-in/move-out processes with professionalism. * Oversee leasing activities, ensuring timely rent collection and lease renewals. * Implement strategies to minimize vacancies and maximize occupancy rates while maintaining Harrington Housing?s standards. * Prepare and manage property budgets, monitor expenses, and provide detailed financial reporting to the senior management team. * Identify opportunities to optimize operational costs while maintaining quality. * Coordinate property repairs, maintenance, and cleaning schedules with vendors and service providers. * Negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective, high-quality services are delivered on time. * Ensure all properties comply with local housing laws, including landlord-tenant regulations and safety standards. * Identify risks and implement measures to safeguard tenants, staff, and property assets. *Qualifications:* * A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in property management, ideally within the real estate or furnished rental sector. * Experience managing multi-unit residential properties is highly preferred. * Bachelor?s degree in Property Management, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field. Certification in Property Management (e.g., CPM, RPA) is an asset. * Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills; multilingual abilities are an asset. * Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio) and Microsoft Office Suite. * In-depth knowledge of local housing laws and industry best practices. * Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. *Why Join Us?* At Harrington Housing, we are committed to creating a positive work environment where employees can thrive.
