Come and discuss the opportunities you have to make a meaningful difference!</p><p><em>Percentage of work: </em><em>69.8413%</em></p><p><strong>THE POSITION</strong></p><p>The principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists of planning and organizing activities adapted for out of Province pupils experiencing difficulties with French as a Second Language in order to help them improve their reading, speaking and writing skills.</p><p><strong>THE RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Plan educational activities adapted to the specific needs of students from other provinces who have difficulty with French as a second language.</li><li>Organize these activities to facilitate learning and promote significant improvement in students' reading, speaking and writing skills.</li><li>Assess students' level of French proficiency upon arrival and throughout their progress, in order to adjust teaching activities accordingly.</li><li>Provide individualized support to students, taking into account their diverse needs and learning styles.</li><li>Collaborate with other teachers and education professionals to effectively integrate FSL activities into the general curriculum.</li><li>Use innovative and inclusive teaching methods that encourage students' active participation and build their confidence in their language abilities.</li><li>Monitor students' progress on a regular basis and provide constructive feedback to help them overcome difficulties.</li><li>Contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of teaching materials and resources for teaching French as a second language.</li><li>Participate in professional training to keep up to date with the latest pedagogical approaches and best practices in second language teaching.</li><li>Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that respects students' cultural diversity and promotes interculturality.</li></ul><p><br></p> <br> <ul><li>Hold a college diploma in Special Education Techniques or a diploma/certificate recognized as equivalent.</li><li>Be fluent in written and oral English. Knowledge of French would be an asset.</li><li>Have experience with students with behavioral and academic difficulties.</li><li>Valid first-aid certificate.</li></ul>- LocationQuébec, QC
