*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chiropodist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive foot care services to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The Chiropodist will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating various foot conditions, contributing to overall patient health. *Responsibilities* * Conduct thorough assessments of patients' foot health and medical history. * Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for pain management and rehabilitation. * Perform various procedures including nail care, callus removal, and wound management. * Administer medications as necessary and monitor patient responses. * Collect and maintain accurate patient data using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner. * Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in acute care settings to ensure comprehensive patient care. * Engage in research activities to stay updated on best practices in chiropody and foot care. * Provide education to patients regarding foot health maintenance and preventive measures. *Experience* * Proven experience in patient care within a medical office or hospital setting is preferred. * Familiarity with data collection methods and electronic health record systems (Epic, Cerner). * Knowledge of pain management techniques relevant to foot conditions. * Experience in acute care environments is advantageous. * Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively. * A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of chiropody.
