As stewards of the province's financial affairs, we deliver a wide range of corporate fiscal and management services - including the preparation of the provincial budget - as well as ensure government plans are coordinated and fiscally responsible.</span></span></p><p> </p><p><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">We are constantly looking for new and better ways to plan, manage, budget and invest.</span></span></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>About Our Opportunity</b></H2></div><div><p> </p><p><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">As the Manager, Financial Advisory Services, you will provide sound, timely financial advice to the Department of Justice and several Public Service offices.</span></span></p><p> </p><p><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Responsibilities include: managing the complexity of client department's expenditure, revenue and capital budgets; accurate reporting of departmental expenditures and monthly forecasts; preparing client department year-end financial audit information as part of government's financial results; providing advice and financial analysis on complex issues; evaluating and improving financial processes with a focus on internal controls and risk management; and leading, coaching and mentoring budget and financial staff with respect to performance management, training and development.</span></span></p><p> </p><p><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">You will develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management in the client departments, departmental managers with financial reporting responsibilities, and representatives of Finance and Treasury Board and the Office of the Auditor General.</span></span></p><p> </p><p><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="- LocationHalifax, NS
