Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Hospital/medical facility or clinic. Tasks: Check, calibrate and perform routine maintenance to equipment. Operate electromyography and diagnostic equipment. Prepare recordings and reports of findings for physicians. Review patient's case history and assess nature of problem to determine procedures and tests required. Take notes on the recorded graph to identify interference. Monitor cardiac activity and record results. Operate electrocardiographs, cardiac ultrasound and other electronic equipment. Perform cardiovascular procedures and tests. Prepare reports for interpretation by cardiologists. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists Registration. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate. Specialization in clinical medicine: Cardiology. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Screening questions: Are you available for shift or on-call work?. Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Health benefits: Dental plan.
