Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Medical pathology laboratory. Hospital/medical facility or clinic. Medical clinic. Private practice. Tasks: Assist health care professionals. Assist physicians in the assessment of patients. Develop information materials for patients. Help medical examiner in charge. Help pathologists. Clean and maintain equipment. Record vital signs. Label and process donated blood. Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and instrumentation for re-use according to standardized safety practices. Perform general clerical duties. Prepare and maintain cleanliness of collection areas. Schedule and confirm appointments. Order supplies and equipment. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : CPR Certificate.
